A highlight of the event was the live music. Not only did we get to hear the ‘Phenomenal Bad Ass of Downtown’, Jeff Howell, our friend Nick from Macon, GA brought down his buddyJosh Carson, who was also pretty phenomenal.
Here is a shot of Josh doing his thing…

Oh yeah and there was some running too…

Yesterday my friends from Somacow held their second annual Cure for the Run charity fun run to raise money for New Hope for Kids. This “run” is just a little bit different than other charity fun runs. Most charity runs are 5k or 10k runs, this one is designed more for the average person…it is a 0.05K. Here are some of the “pre-race” photos…

There is an old oak tree in downtown Orlando…really old. The sign beside the tree says it was a sapling in 1688. So, 300 some years the tree is still stand, but the old boy is cheating a just bit. See several of the branches droop down and are resting on the ground or in some cases even going into the ground. It is really something to see. Several of these ground dwelling branches have these little fern like plants growing on them. If you are in the Orlando area and want to check it out, go over to the parking garage for the Science Center and veer to the left when you pull in.

Today we had lunch a Dandelion Cafe, while I was waiting for the rest of my party to finish eating I took some pictures…

I haven’t seen the fireworks display at EPCOT for several years. It is quite a bit different than I remember it, I am thinking they made some changes…or my memory is worse than I thought.
