A while back a friend of mine suggested that I try “smoke pictures”. I finally got around to trying it out last night and I love it. This picture is pretty much exactly how it came off the camera. The only change I made was to crop out some of the dead space and to increase the contrast.
I try to take pictures every day. Some days I have a picture in my head before I even turn on the camera other days I have nothing. The days when I have nothing I tend to wander around the house looking for inspiration. Sometimes when I find something to shoot, I can see the picture. Other times there is nothing…”OK I have some oranges now what?” So I start taking pictures. I think I took about 100 pictures of these oranges and didn’t have any that I liked.
However, after looking through all of those I was starting to see a picture…it only took about 20 more frames to get it on the disk.
